On the rise is the concept of workplace banking. More and more you see Citibank and Wachovia (among others) coming to your place of work, educating you on your finances and encouraging you to take advantage of their bank's incentives. Now let's face it, the last thing we want to do is go to a financial seminar, but if it was inticing to do so, say by offering chair massage, employees might be more likely to participate. It is definitely great that employers are offering banking to their employees. The banks can offer free checking, individual financial planning sessions, debt managment and higher rates on CD's and IRa's and more. I have been to a workplace banking seminar and found them to be very helpful and informative.
