Just take it from Edie Weiner, a prominent futurist, who spoke at the Global Spa Summit (GSS) , held in Istanbul, Turkey this past May. She said:
"It’s very possible that your [day spas] biggest competition in the future will not be another spa – but people spa’ing at home. You better have a good value proposition to get me to leave my home and come to your spa, disrobe and pay you money and then get dressed again and drive home when I could do the same thing in the comfort of my home."
Like it or not, mobile spas are coming...full force! There are already at least a handfull in every major city in the US and new mobile spas are springing up every day!
Customers want the comfortable, relaxing, convenient one-on-one service they can only receive in the comfort of their own home from a mobile spa.
Also, with organizations like The Mobile Spa Network, mobile spas are finally getting the recognition they deserve and a platform on which to speak.
Get ready, because soon stationary day spas will be a thing of the past and mobile day spas will be front and center, shaping the way we all SPA!
